One of the questions I get asked the most is, why music?
Music, because it’s something people got inside them that’s always fighting to get out. Music to me is a part of how I envision myself and my surroundings. It is a form of self-expression that musicians like to share with others without being too-personal and being very personal at the same time. Music like all arts, has a component of subjectivity but also has deep personal meaning that’s rooted in the musician’s soul. Music binds us and moves us in ways we often cannot move if left on our own devices. Music always plays in the background as the soundtrack to our personal lives. It helps cement emotional moments into our memories. Music reminds us that we are, after all, fragile beings placed on this earth for a relative short amount of time. It brings us joy and gets people closer together. The best thing about music? It’s within all of us regardless of whether you can make it or just listen to it.
