About We Shall be Fables
Life is a story and I wanted to convey my impression of it in a simple, nursery rhyme type of ditty – even though it is rather more complex than an obvious children’s rhyme.
I’ve felt, for as long as I can remember, that LIFE LIVES US, not the other way round; and acceptance of that, as we age, may make for a more contented “being” in the World; absurd and random as it so very often is. It’s all one hot life. x
Life is eating us up. We shall be Fables.
It’s all one hot life, the head and the tail, joining in circumstance.
We shall be Fables.
It’s all one, it’s all one hot life, streaming in a single direction, Keep Cool, it’s all one hot life,
Do not fret and drudge!
Our meat will be the same, our strings will SNAP!
The force will stop; we are moving plants, with roots that dance!
Life is eating us up, we shall be Fables, when the noon tide beckons,
And the reaper reckons; we shall be Fables.
Our coats of elastic steel do not keep us from harm.
We are golden in our average skin, a sinking ship of everything! A single wreck in love and grace, the human mixture, fair of face.
I like gray days and showers of snow, in weight and custom, what do I know?
Seen or unseen, we believe the tie, calibrate the eternal lie,
The Ark is empty, the Ark is empty, the Ark is empty.
Walk in the sun with me a little, walk in the sun with me.
The rains will not come while we talk, the rains will not come while we pray.
Who cares what lions think when they break the backs of their prey?
We all will be King for a day; this jungle, this secret palace of stories, rolling in space,

Fate grows over us like Grass as we pass…. Into parallel space…. WE ARE JUST A STORY…..
