June 2025 – Melodic Revolution Records (MRR) is proud to announce the highly anticipated return of acclaimed Italian progressive rock band Overture, with their long-awaited sophomore album A mezz’aria sul Tempo. This marks the band’s first full-length release since their self-titled and critically acclaimed debut in 2018.
Overture’s new album promises to be a bold and emotional journey, continuing their tradition of blending intricate musicianship with poetic lyricism and conceptual depth. A mezz’aria sul Tempo (which translates roughly to “Suspended in Time”) is a meditation on memory, hope, and the resilience of the human spirit.
Fans have already been treated to a taste of what’s to come through two powerful singles:
“Coscienza Cibernetica”
Released in 2024, this thought-provoking track explores a world adrift between the real and the virtual. With urgent rhythms and rich melodies, the song reflects on modern identity in a digital age.

“Bagliori”
Released on February 21, 2025, “Bagliori” was written in the shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic. Penned by Overture’s vocalist just days after Italy entered lockdown, it captures the fear and confusion of a young girl during those uncertain times. The music evolved over the course of the pandemic and ultimately became a song of hope—transforming fear into beauty and sorrow into serenity.

With A mezz’aria sul Tempo, Overture once again demonstrates their ability to craft emotionally resonant and musically adventurous prog rock. The album is now fully recorded and mastered and is set for release via Melodic Revolution Records later this year.
