Short Bio
Drastic Fall: A Sonic Journey of Chaos and Creativity
Drastic Fall began as an ambitious concept in the mind of its guitarist, Richard “Dick” Nasrallah. Much like Dr. Frankenstein’s creation, Dick’s vision for the band was equal parts human and monstrous—relatable yet unsettling. The project took shape in 2006 when Dick joined forces with Christopher “Monkey” Fotter, later recruiting Geoff Stone and Cory Robbins. Together, they forged a unique sound that defies convention, blending experimental metal with a kaleidoscope of musical influences. Their style ranges from smooth, easy-listening melodies to carnival-like chaos, all delivered with superhuman guitar riffs, intricate bass lines, and dynamic drum beats.
In 2011, the Tampa Bay Metal Examiner captured the band’s essence, stating, “How many bands can make you want to roller disco and start a giant circle pit in the same verse?” Drastic Fall embodies the paradoxical beauty of chaos: the pretty side of ugly, everything, all the time, all at once. That same year, the band released their self-produced debut album, Everything, All the Time, All at Once. In 2012, they followed up with a DVD titled Stuff and Things. By 2014, their sophomore album, Drastic Fall, earned high praise, with The Soundcheck declaring, “The band molested my ears, and I was all too accepting of the audible assault. This band is an exquisite rupture of sweet musical chaos that I do not mind being addicted to.”
