Refestramus was initiated by Derek Ferguson in May 2020 as a personal studio endeavor amidst the peak of the global COVID pandemic. Formerly involved in various progressive rock bands in Chicago, Derek seized the surplus time brought about by lockdown measures to compose and produce fresh compositions. With a keen interest in Ian Beabout’s Internet radio show “Prog Rock Deep Cuts,” Derek contacted Ian to handle the mixing and mastering of his recordings.
